Prominently featured breaking the skyline are the towers of the Royal Liver Building, and elegant old piece of architecture with a rich history, which has now become emblematic of the city. Be sure to pay a visit once you’re back on land, and try to make it over to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, a salmon-colored, fortress-like construction noted for its extreme size, one of the largest of its kind in the world.

Nightlife in Liverpool is amazing. Pubs, discos and clubs make for a vibrant scene populated by the young, the hip and the beautiful. Shopping is also quite fun, as a mix of charming boutiques and internationally renowned brands can be found on the bustling pedestrian thoroughfare of the Met Quarter. Transportation to and from Liverpool is easily accessible by car or train, and lodging options are both economical and quaint.
